Job Description

We are now looking for a train technician/troubleshooter for Alstom in Gothenburg! The job is a consulting assignment with good opportunities for direct employment.
The work involves shift work with holiday operations and may also include night shifts in the future.
Responsibilities
The team you will be part of consists of 3 other technicians, one of whom is a team leader, and you will also collaborate with other functions within the depot. We are one of Alstom's four depots in the region, and the depot employs 15 people divided into 3 work teams, including troubleshooting schedules.
Your task, together with your colleagues, is to perform preventive maintenance and corrective troubleshooting. The role also includes assessing the traffic safety condition. You should be able to follow instructions and carry out maintenance and commissioning accordingly.
The position also includes:
- Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications on vehicles.
- The work is carried out according to instructions in existing systems.
- Registering and documenting information in our current systems regarding, for example, action text, used materials, etc.
- With the support of troubleshooters, occasionally troubleshoot and correct electrical faults on the vehicles.
- Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the policy for environment, health, safety, and quality.
- Working according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Alstom Railway Safety Policy.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role: We value passion and attitude over experience. Therefore, we do not expect you to have all the skills.
Instead, we have listed a few that we believe will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Education/experience or a strong passion for electricity, technology, and troubleshooting
- Experience or understanding of technical work in the aviation, industrial, or automotive industry, or similar where repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and digital control systems have been part of your daily routine
- We prefer that you are used to assembling electrical and mechanical components according to drawings and instructions.
- If you have good knowledge of electricity, it is a significant plus.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and the ability to solve complex problems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the railway industry is an advantage. Good language skills in Swedish and English
